Doug and Teresa Horn purchased the Blount National Bank Building in 2006 in an effort to bring the building back under local ownership.  It was renamed Preservation Plaza and restoration of the 1922 building began.
Having moved from Texas in 2001, they adopted Maryville, Tennessee.  During 2002, they completed the restoration of the Emory 5 & 10, located in the 100 block of West Broadway.  This became the home of Doug’s financial planning firm, Quality Financial Concepts.
During the research of past tenants and uses of the
bank building, the plans for the 1984 renovation of the sixth floor were discovered.  This provided the inspiration to start  Top of The Plaza.  The incredible views and exceptional layout have become its reputation and the standard.
